A bit about me:

I first became interested in Osteopathic Manual Therapy when it helped me overcome a knee injury. Little did I know at the time that I was destined to share this healing art as a practitioner over a decade later.

My experience with movement and anatomy is rooted in contemporary and classical dance training, teaching yoga, as well as teaching anatomy to yoga teacher training students. A four-year formal osteopathic education and rigorous clinical training at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) has given me the skills to help you move and feel better.

In my practice it is my goal is to help restore the proper mobility and balance to all joints and tissues of the person I am working with. My intention is to get to the root cause of imbalance and help you overcome whatever is standing between you and good health. With that goal in mind treatment often results in better neurovascular supply, and better mechanical and physiological functioning of all the systems of the body. Treatments are intentionally gentle, non-invasive, and tend to be calming for the nervous system, encouraging the body to take on the corrections that we offer it. Whether it is an acute or longstanding condition I am addressing, the changes that treatment brings about can have a myriad of positive effects, and can in turn help you lead a more healthy and active life.

Now that you know a little bit about me and my practice, I’d love to get to know you and see how we can work together to get you feeling optimal.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Kai Riecken, M.OMSc.
